Queen of Ace is a free tennis program for Black girls in Ottawa delivered through the Ottawa Neighbourhood Tennis Series, witht wo cohorts running in parallel: a beginner Foundations group and a high-performing Performance pathway. Over four weeks, participants receive quality on-court training plus weekly talks from rotating experts on safe sport, wellness, leadership, and tennis pathways, culminating in a community Symposium, Leadership Recognition, and Awards Ceremony. Intended outcomes include increased participation and retention of Black girls in tennis, measurable skill progression, improved confidence and belonging, and the development of teen leaders who support younger players and continue in the sport.
