Ottawa to Host Steve Stevens Masters Tennis Championships

The NCTA has been working closely with Tennis Canada to bring the Steve Stevens National Masters Tournament to Ottawa in 2026. We are excited to confirm that the tournament will take place from Sunday, August 23 to Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The event is expected to welcome 500–600 players from across Canada. Eligibility is open to players aged 30 and over, with competition organized in five-year age categories. A social event for all participants will be held on Monday, August 24.

Traditionally, this national championship rotates between Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Ottawa previously hosted the tournament in 2016, and Tennis Canada would like to make a tradition of holding the event in the National Capital Region every ten years.

Matches will be played on outdoor clay courts, and we are delighted that all of Ottawa’s clay court clubs will be involved, including:

·         Ottawa Tennis Club (formerly Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club)

·         Rideau Sports Centre

·         Tennis Club West Ottawa

·         Ottawa New Edinburgh Club

·         Elmdale Tennis Club

·         Rockcliffe Lawn Tennis Club

Further details regarding registration and event logistics will be shared in the coming months.
